Sad news out of Australia today, with Jane McGrath, the wife of champion cricketer Glen passing away. After a long and courageous battle against breast cancer, Jane finally succumbed today.
After her recovery from breast cancer in 2002, Jane McGrath co-founded the McGrath Foundation with her cricketing husband, Glenn. Jane experienced firsthand the benefits of a specialist breast care nurse throughout her treatment which became the principal influence for the Foundation’s creation.
Jane, had surgery earlier in the year for a recurrence of cancer and was reportedly on the road to recovery, before recent complications caused her health to deteriorate. Jane’s health rapidly declined during the past week before she passed away with Glenn and their two children, James and Holly by her side.
